History For more than 20 years Mulberry Cottage has been a direct importer of an exceptional mix of European and English antiques and handcrafted furniture. In March of 2004 Patricia and Aaron Fuchs bought Mulberry Cottage's operations in Maine and operate it as Mulberry Cottage Interiors. Patricia and Aaron personally hand select each item in our inventory. In addition they have added new product lines from Europe, Maine and New England. Our antique pine furniture generally dates from the late nineteenth century.
Our Philosophy
Our goal is to provide our customers with fine European one-of-a-kind furniture and home décor accessories.
Mulberry Cottage Interiors provides heirlooms that have stood the test of time.
We personally travel to Europe, visit select dealers who have acquired quality antiques from their regions.
We also commission the manufacture of certain furniture pieces that never existed as antiques, such as computer desks and entertainment cabinets. Whenever possible, these items are made from reclaimed (previously used) materials, since we believe the rich patina that comes from age cannot be artificially created. We have these items made to our specifications and to European craftsman standards.
We want our customers to have exactly what they want so we can and do offer special orders made to a customer's requirements. These do require a reasonable lead-time.
We price our merchandise in a way that we believe provides good value at a fair price, based on costs of acquisition, shipping and handling. The advantage to you, as the customer, is that you will have something in your home that has a quality and uniqueness that is unobtainable in any other way.
We look forward to serving you.
